We have an informal term at Southern Pastures, a play on words … but it sums up our philosophies exceptionally well. We look for, and actively encourage our employees and partners to be “Southern Pasturized” meaning having a particular ethos to buy into what we striving to achieve. Who also express and seek a high value system underpinning all company relationships and practices.
From inception, Southern Pastures has been swayed towards co-operatives, but these are becoming few and far between. We take great pride in being part of a democracy for governance, voting at each election and having our say to influence travel in the right direction.
To compliment this stance, we also have some mighty fine public and private organisations walking alongside us in our journey. Placed within these organisations are some amazing people (and it is about people for us) that we have built relationships with, who have supported us with time and hard work. Who have kept us upskilled and current in research and have pushed us to continually improve, … and more importantly have listened to our crazy ideas and supported them.
